Hi all, just signed up here. My current truck ('69 W200 Crew) is getting close to where I want it, and I found this place recently so I figured I would come aboard.
Back in the '90s I had a nice '66 D100 with HD springs and 8 lug (split rim) wheels that I loved, but some jerk ran a light an T-boned me in it. Then I had a '71 D100 with a slant 6 that I got for $200 to use as a wood truck - it was very rough. You could reach from the cab into the engine compartment or to the outside through the cowl/firewall, and the body shifted a couple inches forward and back under accel/decel. Oh, and it had been painted with a brush. Got me through a couple years, though.
Anyway, I always wanted another one and I figured that a 4WD Crew was the ultimate (for me) so a couple years ago I got this one out in Oregon. Here are before and current condition pics:
