Hello everyone, I just joined the site and am loving the wealth of knowledge on here! I got me a decent 1962 D100 utiline about a week ago and am excited about starting the restore on it. It is currently a slant 6 with 3 on the tree. My plan is to put a 440/727 combo in it, but haven't found a

There is a lot of controversy with this, but personally I don't see why it is needed, the 69-71's don't have a spanner...........I would recommend definitely boxing the area where the spring mount is though vs just hacking it off like the factory did.
