Hello everyone, I just joined the site and am loving the wealth of knowledge on here! I got me a decent 1962 D100 utiline about a week ago and am excited about starting the restore on it. It is currently a slant 6 with 3 on the tree. My plan is to put a 440/727 combo in it, but haven't found a

I did what the Dodge Truck Division did when they made an auto tranny truck. The '69-'71 tranny cross member is massive, as compared to the
'68 & earlier version. Additionally, it is attached to the top and bottom of the frame rails as opposed to being bolted to the [vertical] sides like the '68 & earlier cross member. There were "C" channel spanners and also angle [L] spanners. This spanner could be home made quite easy too.
I would say it is additional "Insurance" against fatigue/failure of the
frame..... especially if you're building a 375hp + 440. thumbs up
