the parts stores don't sell the correct ballast resistor for our swepties. they will work but the stock version has a metal mounting bracket so when you bolt it in using the master cylinder bolts a longer bolt is not required. the parts stores are selling the later style that is all porcelain. I found that if I ask for a ballast resistor for a 56 dodge car I get the correct style. Duralast number: AL795
