Is there any way to tell if the manual transmission in the truck is what is supposed to be inthe truck? What was the original tire size? What is today's size I would replace with? How many 1966 Dodge trucks were 1/2 ton Step Side? I believe I have a Canadian 318 engine in the truck, here is my

The vin plate states what came in the truck originally.
What was the original tire size? What is today's size I would replace with?

I believe I have a Canadian 318 engine in the truck, here is my VIN 1181643428 how can I be sure. I believe I read that the valve covers on a Canadian engine are scalloped, is that correct information?
No such thing as a "Canadian 318". "scalloped" valve covers indicate a poly head, or A block 318, which was used in all vehicles until replaced by the LA block wedge head 318 in ~67.
