the 61 to 71, D300 and up frames are all 34" wide and flat from front to back. that is an industry standard on truck larger than 1 ton to this day. the dodge 1 tons are built back then like a medium duty truck. I can buy a trailer hitch for a 2017 dodge 4500 or 5500 and it will fit my d300.

the steering column on the 1 tons and up comes through the floor in a different spot than 1/2 and 3/4 tons
