I presently have a 318 four speed in a 68 D300. I need more power with cubic inches and will switch to 360 cu. inches and 727.. I will not put in 440 into the D300 due to my ford power steering not fitting as well as engine mount problems. ( frame clearances Regarding my power steering ) Question,.

Why would the 440 be any different than a 360 as far as the steering box goes? Not much difference in dimensions with the 727 between smallblock and bigblock. Especially were your going to cut the crossmember for the bell.
