The carter thermoquad on our crew cab with 383 likes to whistle when you rev it up. At an idle there is no whistling. I first thought it was a vacuum leak but I checked all the lines and no holes or cracks. I took the air cleaner off and found the noise sounded like it was coming from the primaries

Demon Sizzler is the guy to go to on Thermoquads. Google his name.
I have a Thermoquad that is rebuilt that I would like to get rid of it. The Thermoquads/AVS are good as long as you don't have a radical cam. The metering rods need a good constant vacuum to operate properly.
