I would like to know if a d400 fender is the same as a d300 fender. I am not concerned about marker lights and emblems just the structuring for replacement.

Hi Fellows, it has been a while since I last posted, a lot has happened since then and I feel I should update. I am comfortable to say everything is fine. Nonetheless much has changed. My last post showed I had a enthusiastic desire to make my low mileage, rust free, D300 pickup into a different animal. Things have changed due to health conditions and father time. I have elected to sell all

Mark, I have an existing problem in fitting my Ford Power steering box harness on this narrower D300 frame with the existing 318,. It appears the I only have a minor amount that needs to be shaved off the 318/360 to make it fit. The amount to shave would likely be a lot more on the 440 thus making my power steering application prohibitive. I do believe that I can shave approximately 3/8 i

Hi john, thanks for that link to image event from Jeff. Steve, I'm hopeful that the transmission out of the half time will work. I agree with you, 440 was a lot more work! I am eager for good weather as all my work is done outside. Thanks all for the input. Gordo

I presently have a 318 four speed in a 68 D300. I need more power with cubic inches and will switch to 360 cu. inches and 727.. I will not put in 440 into the D300 due to my ford power steering not fitting as well as engine mount problems. ( frame clearances Regarding my power steering ) Question,.. Will my 1964 D100 automatic mount on the same mounts as bell housing did with my ex

Hey thanks Steve, perhaps due to that the box is located in a different area. That could easily cause the harness location difference thereby causing the poor fit. Prior to your mention of the steering column coming through the cab at a different angle, I had assumed that it was because the frame might be Narrower on the D300 vesus the the 100 or D200. {Still wondering) It was only about

I no longer have a D100 or a D200. I can't measure the difference between frame of the the 100, or D200, And then compare to my the 300 frame. Recently, I tried to put a power steering harness for the Ford Power steering box onto my 1968 dodge 300 and was unable as a it interfered with my 318 engine block. The harness I refer to fits perfectly on a D100 and D200..which I believe are the sa

Thanks a lot Fellows for this information and suggestions. For my 80th birthday I purchased my 51st swptline with the idea it would be my last and a driver. I have all harness for the Ford power steering conversion and I attempted to put it on to the 1968 D300 but then I realize the frame was a little bit narrower than the D100 and D200. That is when I started thinking front clip. I later o

Hi Steve, I realize that you are an authority on the 3/100. I certainly respect the answers than I've seen from your contributions. I further realize that I left the question very simple and to the point. I have several reasons but I elected not to get into them because the original question would be very helpful towards towards my existing donor vehicle. I will share information reg

I have searched the archives for any information regarding putting A front clip for purposes of independent suspension. I could not find anything so I thought I would ask for a little help. I'm not interested in a after market as much as I am too weld a donor IFS onto my 1968 D300.

John, I found that if one goes to monitor settings and sets to full screen viewing, and then adjusts pixels to maximum pixelate, that in fact the Sweptline becomes vivid. It took me hours but it was worth it. Gordo

QuoteRuss Roth You are right Otts is a good place for clutch repair and parts. I had mine done less than a year ago because the pressure plate broke an eye bolt and would not release. Really sucked since it was right before hunting season. They have told me 1"x10 spline clutch centers are no longer available and have not been for a long time. I think the 300 might be bigger but don'
