It seems as though the A, B & E body MoPar supply is pretty much tapped out. The next "logical" cars are the C body luxury yachts. Also, as many of us are noticing, the Sweptlines are starting to fall on people's radar screen. I have a long time [43yr] friend who's a lifetime MoPar fanatic. He does restorations , he's drag raced for 25 years, owns a few B &

Gordo, Here's the procedure, as explained by "Beemrmax" in that Best Of thread. To put a squareback back in, all you need to do is run a short wire from the Ground termninal to the nearest alternator thru-bolt, and voila... you're done. Wish the idiot who had put it in originally knew that... he murdered the harness trying to figure it out ;-( John

I've been driving my Sweptlines quite a bit. Still chugging away on a D200 to W200 conversion on my '61. Have a '68 W100 donor for the front springs. Have the large knuckle Dana 44 for the front. Have a nice replacement '61 cab. Pretty much have everything.... now need a week's vacation to dive into it. I keep telling myself this is the year that I put my '6

If the truck's engine is original to it, you should have solid lifters in it. If the truck sat for a long time, your accelerator pump might be shriveled up. You can buy one from your local NAPA for a couple bucks. You might also need to set the valve lash on the engine and fine tune the dwell and timing too. John

I'm in the process of: 1)Converting my '61 D200 to a W200. I'll keep the 4.10 rear Dana 60 but will install '68 backing plates. I have a 4.09 large knuckle front Dana 44 ready to install. I'm getting some suspension parts from a '68 W100 donor. I've also get a clean '61 cab to replace the current cab. 2)Still working on a '68 D100 short Utiline.

Russ, Good to hear you made the reunion and were able to meet up with Russ Ashley as well. I have been to your 1/50 site and looked at a lot of the pics there. Hearing about some of your time in the Army in person during our NW visit was real interesting too! Hope you had a good time at this year's reunion and thank you for your service. John

Quotecatneck Hi all. Just brought home a clean 1966 D100 lwb sweptside. Arctic blue, 6 cylinder, 3 speed daily driver. Looking to continue what the p.o.started when he pulled it from a barn 5 years ago. Need to find minor parts like seatbelts, door seals, armrests. Great old truck, my first Dodge, after years of restoring bikes and Fords. Great site, looking forward to the light work this

This was a popular truck. The Utiline box continued to be used up through the early '80s. As far as rarity.... they weren't rare "back in the day". As for how many are left today and how rare the truck is today?.... hard to tell. I'm a Utiline fan myself. I have a '65 W200 Utiline. I turned a '68 W200 Utiline into a W200 wide box due to poor sheet metal on

QuoteGordo If we make the trip we would be getting 30 mpg and the trip is a little less than 1300 round trip. Our fuel cost will be approximatly 155.00. Hmm take your wife to Reno? Bring back parts to us for 155.00 (That is do able) Gordo Gordo, Check Scott's site. There might be a few folks over there who could assist.... John

QuoteAdventurer Thanks John i bought one like the picture but its missing the bottom cover You're welcome. If things work out for me, I hope to own all those parts in the "picture" soon. We've been in the process of figuring out logistics. I've got a 40,000 mile 383 from a '69 Sweptline that I'm hoping to put in my '68 W200 in the near future. John

Looks like a clean machine! Judging by those remaining mirror mounts, your truck probably had some sort of later aftermarket mirrors and brackets. Mirror assembly Part # 2518-105 is the commonly used "West Coast Jr." style. If you're looking to pull a bulky trailer, perhaps the 16 x 7 size mirrors would be more your speed. John

Quoteerlitz26 I am very new and any help would be much appreciated. Last fall I bought a 67 D200 and love it, it is my first antique vehicle and don't plan on ever selling it... So now for the help, first I paid 1500 and drove it home (wondering if I got at least a decent deal?) only surface rust now I don't know much about working on vehicles but am learning as I go. Quoteswptln The flywheel from your 318 will work as long as it's a 72 tooth. Most the V8's use a 6 bolt crank, so it should work as long as there both 6-bolt cranks. Mark, You might want to check to make sure you're not missing some teeth.... The parts manual shows different part numbers for the 318 & 383 flywheels. There is a "Premium" 318 flywheel that accept
