Go here this will show you the difference between a B or RB just by identifying the ID pad. But without seeing the stamping it's not going to identify the cu.in. Engine ID's

Also, you might want to check your voltage regulator for the gauges. It's mounted right on the back of the instrument cluster. Just a thought.

Going with the BBD is a lot more tunable for sure. The WW's were like having a faucet on your engine. The BBD is nothing but a AVS or AFB style carb with only two holes. I had a WW on my 318 and swapped it out for the Carter and way better performance, mileage increased a little but not much, maybe 1-2 mpg at best. But, performance and drivability are like night and day. The Carter's

It's actually a voltage regulator, so you might see a fluctuation in voltage, especially if your using a digital multi meter or the fact that it might be on it's way out. The old original regulators were a mechanical switch, unlike the newer solid state units, which would not show a pulsing or fluctuation in voltage.

There are a bunch of different companies, reproducing them and as mentioned they come with the clips already installed. Do a search on e-bay, Easy Street LLC, etc has them. They are tricky to install, they need to be push in and down, while lifting at the same time to get the clip to release, they go on easier than they come off.

The 63-68 NP435 used a 1" x 10 spline input shaft, straight roller ball bearings on the input shaft. The 69-71 used the 1" x 23 spline input, tapered roller bearings on the input shaft. 63-71 used a 1 1/4" x 23 spline output shaft, 63-68 used a 1410 joint yoke and the 69-71 used a 1310 joint yoke. To my knowledge the only difference is what I listed, aside from the wide and clo

Most stock engines had the 1-bolt, about the only ones that had the 3-bolt cams were the Hemi and 70-72 BB HP engines. Any BB can be upgraded to the 3-bolt, as long as you get the timing chain set to go with the cam. Have heard some say the dowel pin on the 1-bolt is a weak link, but probably isn't a big deal unless your building a high horsepower high revving engine. More a matter of pr

Go to a local autobody paint supplier and they can mix you up any color you want in a spray bomb. They can even match it with a special tool that will scan the color of your truck if you can bring in a sample.

We have come up with some documentation supporting and deciphering SERT's that are listed on various trucks Data Plates, listing the Special Equipment that was put on some of your trucks. This is going to take some time to put together, but we're hoping in a year or so, we will have somet

I just updated the side marker reflector article with some proof that all 1968 model year trucks manufactured before January 1, 1968 did in fact come from the factory without side marker reflectors. After January 1, 1968 they were standard equipment.
