The top of the frame rail is bent up for steering box clearance. No other reason.

I don't think anyone has attempted a 300 to 350 series swap that I have seen. A side from a 300 having a straight/flat frame out back behind the cab, I don't see why it couldn't be done as easy as the 100 or 200 series. I do know the 300 frames are taller and thicker than a 100/200 frame for sure, so I would guess that you would be limited to using a 350 front clip or the frame r

Looks great, coming along nice. Easy Street should have the glove box liner and bumpers. The latch button might have to be gotten from a used truck. I don't think he has those.

Ben, Being that your Dad was a pretty good influence in your sweptline upbringing, I think we can all say that your father should be considered a member of our sweptline community. I think he has earned the right to be honored in the Sweptliners Memorial section of this site. Especially considering the fact that he purchased new, one of the rarest sweptlines in existence and passed down to his

Rob, I used a 503122 from Rock Auto in my 69. Fits pretty nice and it setup for disc's and drums. Mine's highly modified as far as engine location etc. The only thing you might have to do is space it off the firewall some as I need to do on mine to get it to clear the lip/seam correctly. If you take a look at my project 69 thread, you'll see it. The post right after the last h

Cool, either way it doesn't look too bad, especially compared to the rot boxes we have over here in the Northeast.

Hey John, Yes, going with the short 727 and the 201. Just figuring the tranny cross member now. Going to try putting a 71 cross member in it for the 727. Yes, going with the dash shifter too. I picked up a cross member that was supposed to be for a 2wd 727, but it's not right and have no idea what it's for, I'll post some pictures later. The later 69-71 4wd and 2wd are the same,

Cool, If you dont mind, let know when you get the article/write up done. I can post it on the articles page on the site for all to see. I'm going a different route on mine, I decided to put a 727 in the W200. So, I'm going to just keep my stock heater and install the dealer AC system that I already have. The dealer AC will fit now that I wont have the shifter for the 435 in the way.

Yes they did, the shifter was the same, but the bezel is different. You can't use the MH bezel on the dash, it was not contoured for the dash, it was flat for the plywood dash in the MH's.

Looks good Steve, ABS or similar is definitely the way to go vs fabric and cardboard. I saved the center bracket off my 71 SE parts truck and I'm going to weld it to the roof of my 68, which will help hold the headliner from sagging.

Seeing that there wasn't to much response(two members)in regards to Carlisle to be a meeting place or to try and get a club tent for the participants in the show field, I'm not going to pursue the tent for truck members, this year. I'll bring up the idea again for next year and see what happens. Thanks

There's a guy in Rhode Island that will make anything out of fiberglass, but I would think you would have to send him a bumper to use, to make a mold.....I'll see if I can dig the guy's number up and if nothing else you can check with him.

Ok, so the wire coming out of the blower motor is green and connects to a bullet connector with a black wire that is connected to the switch. I can change that.
