Hi Chaps I have a old Tekonsha Hydraulic and electric brake unit, that i use when I pull my WW Horse trailor or my four horse gooseneck, After getting the truck rewired the brake unit hook up doesnt work the unit seems ok and i get voltage coming out around 10 volts or so does anyone have any exper

I have a old Tekonsha Hydraulic and electric brake unit, that i use when I pull my WW Horse trailor or my four horse gooseneck, After getting the truck rewired the brake unit hook up doesnt work the unit seems ok and i get voltage coming out around 10 volts or so does anyone have any experience they would care to share, I need to know if the out put voltage is variable? does it increase and decrease as the brakes are applied?I contacted Tekonsha and they suggest replacing the unit wirth a modern digital unit which I really dont want to do as the old one suits the truck.
Any thoughts Chaps?
