Hey guys, just mulling around the idea of selling grandpas truck, i have spent alot of time and money on the old gal the last few years and with deep regret i somewhat feel the need to sell it.
if you have been fallowing my posts over the past few months, i am sure you know the truck.
I have recently rebuilt the top end (new valves and hardened exhaust seats),new hi volume oil pump, new timing set. the transmission was profesionally rebuilt at a shop within the last couple years, i have put on new dual exhaust with flowmasters at a muffler shop with aluminumized pipe, the interior is done, the brakes are completly done, new tires, new rims. i have replaced the windshield and new gasket. it has original paint and it will need to be addressed soon, the hood is showing signs of surface rust. i had the radiator and heater core redone at a radiator shop, both have new cores. I have alot of parts i have aquired from E-bay that would go with the truck, mostly plastic OEM/repro.
the battery is fairly new, i have installed a "inside-the-cab" hood release, looks factory, works great.
i have upgraded the ignition system to a GM style HEI, no more ballast, coil, points or crappy ignition box.
things that need to be done, the power steering system is a bit sloppy, it needs a spare tire rack, which means you would need to reroute or widen the dual exhaust. the paint like i mentioned is in need of some attention. there are several "holes" in the body that would need to be welded up, all from grandpa, installing mirrors and a camper shell.
i know most of you would like a "deal" i can't do that im not going to sell it for 2k, i feel it is worth more, how much more?, make me an offer.
