Well, another small mishap. The rear nuts that are welded in my hood finally let loose and pulled out sending the rear corner of my hood up about 2 feet. This happened when I shut the hood just after I replaced a bad fuel pump that left me stranded in a parking lot!!! I had to pull the whole hood to get home. Man that hood has to be the heaviest hood ever made in the history of the automobile.

I am going to get the nuts welded in this week

My hood hinges seem to be a little sloopy. My hood will actually open past 90 degrees and touch the top of the cab. Im sure this is what fatigued the nut welds in the hood. the hinge will bind on itself, stopping the movement but again its past 90 degrees.

Is this normal? Is there a fix?

Thanks guys
