As Terry mentioned, here's some LA318-360 info. The 360 had a cast crank and external balance, while other smalblocks might have forged cranks and were internally balanced. The 360 cast crank was quite strong, no fears there.

I don't have a direct link for the flywheel balancing as there's no specific internet page for it far as I know. The process is very simple for a machinist, but not necessarily cheap! The required drill bit is very pricey just by itself. Here's the blueprint for balancing the flywheel:
