I recently was sent a pm. we then corresponded a few times using the PM. We agreed on price, and now I need to contact him.

It is true I deleted them, and now their is no trace left to contact him. Bottom line,, in my opinion I prefer email if possible.

Few reasons and probably more, LOL

1. The administrater can get into any PM, or at least it seems likely? What if I swore or told a nasty joke? LOL

2. My email when I delete it goes to deleted files. I don't clean deleted files out, so then I am able to retrieve his address or what was said for months or years. Who wants to keep those messages on the forum pm for 6 months or a year?

Not so with PMing, once removed they are gone. Leave them there, and it is messy etc.

I have seen sites where ones email address is encrypted.
Most often those sites only allow signed in people to send emails which is needed.

I realise That is true here with pm'mn but what I am getting at is I prefer the encripted email combined with signing in as it is pretty doggon safe.

3. My email notifies me whereas I have to go to forum and find pm's

I and, I believe many others, go to forum 50 percent less than we go to our emails so therefore the message is answered quicker.

I would think that there are some who say,... My email encrypted or not, "NO WAY",.... So if we had both??? Gordo
