I first met Norm here around 10 years ago, and a better friend no one could ever find. He found out about my interest in Dodge history and encouraged and helped me with it, also kept me going when my marriage ended 10 years ago. The world now has a very large hole in it that can never be filled since Norm is gone, my life has that hole too! RIP Norm I really appreciated the gift of your frie

Norm I don't get on here much as I no longer own a sweptline truck, but I want to thank you for all that you have done, here, The Chrysler Customer Advisory Board and at the PWA Forum. Since I have a 1983 D150 with a factory Utiline bed I do go there some as well as Allpar. I appreciate your making my old sweptline a truck of the week and all the advice and help I got from you as I went thr

Just in case anyone is interested, The cover of and feature article in the January/February 2012 issue of Vintage Truck is a really nice 1965 Dodge Pie Plate Truck, it only has 34,000 on the odometer according to the article. Tom

I would think that you should save your /6 and stuff from the truck. What is the issue with the 64 Dart? I hope to someday own an old Dodge with a pushbutton tranny and would not be against it having a /6 in it. The only problem I have now is that anything I drive has to have power steering in it. I had 2 vehicles with a /6 in them a 64 Dodge 330 and a 79 Aspen wagon, and I liked both those cars

While it isn't technically Sweptline, it is important. 97 years ago today, the first Dodge Brothers car rolled off the assembly line at the Dodge Main plant in Hamtramck ironically it was a Monday, and there were 249 cars made in 1914, however they were classified as 1915 models Tom

I recently had the need to purchase a new vehicle. I had to buy something easier to get in and out of than a truck. I have been having really bad trouble with my back and legs. So I bought a 1999 plymouth Grand Voyager SE that is in nice shape and well taken care of, it's easy for me to get in and out of (The Doc says I have arthritis and it is pinching a nerve. So I now own 2 Plymouths

When I was young, I remember my grandad being ticked off about how this country had gone to hell, and of course I didn't understand his use of "this is not the United Stataes of America anymore, it's the United States of Russia" needles to say I understand it now, and it's much worse now than in 1973 when he died. It's also true. Glad you were able to get your

I bought my first brand new computer from Staples and got a great price. It has 4 Gb memory and 1TB hard drive, Windows 7 premium home edition. I don't know what AMD processor it has but it sure is fast! Also at the same time bought a new printer/scanner so this is the first all new computer/printer for me Tom

It's neat to see that it is still on duty and has its original owner. Don't see many Dodge Fire Trucks, and fewer still in service. Really nice truck! Tom

I am hoping they do well. I have looked several times at new vehicles since I wrecked the Caliber, and saw nothing that I really wanted and could afford new. Nothing I looked at used compared to the 1991 Ram I bought a little over a year ago or the Acclaim either,Both vehicles were one owner vehicles that were well taken care of, and extremely clean. Plus the cost of the other used ones I had lo

Really nice car, congratulations on a great find! The Plymouth is fun to drive, and am getting better fuel economy on it than I ever got on that Caliber, plus easier to get in and out of Tom

That Acclaim is proving that Chrysler Corporation made better cars than Chrysler LLC does today. I like it much more than the Caliber I had. It is 20 years old and is a car that is fun to drive and comfortable too. That Spirit you were driving Jimmie was a Spirit R/T which had a turbo and more hp than a 318 V8 My Spirit was a nicer car with more instrumentation but I am really pleased with my

It has an automatic, the 91 Spirit I bought new had the 5 speed manual shift. That was the best car I ever owned, which was one reason for buying the Plymouth, the rest being that it was a 1 owner garage kept car and it has no rust through anywhere and the body is in really great shape for here in Indiana with only one scrape and a spot the size of a half dollar that needs touch up paint. the on

due to the rising cost of gasoline and the fact that I now have a 30 mile round trip to work, I bought my first Chrysler product that is not a Dodge. I found a nice 1991 Plymouth Acclaim that's a one owner and has the 2.5 4 banger. it blows cold air and everything works Tom

96 years ago today, John and Horace Dodge produced the first Dodge Brothers automobile In their plant in Hamtramck MI. On the site of the Dodge Main auto plant that was torn down in 1980 is a Cadillac/Buick factory In Veteran's park about a half mile away is a Michigan State historical marker honoring the Dodge Brothers and Their Company. They had the 1st fully integrated car facto

I just bought OEM tune up parts from Chrysler for my 1991 D150 Pickup. Champion plugs, Mopar plug wires, and Mopar Rotor and Mopar Distributor cap ( I don't like the cheap aftermarket crap most parts stores sell) and I was surprised to see that all the parts were made in the USA DB69

While this isn't a sweptline problem, it is a Dodge Truck problem that I have never had before In April the fan clutch on my 91 Ram broke, I replaced it with one from Advance Auto which of course was made in China. I came home from work Friday with the a/c on and the truck got almost hot. I checked the fan and the 3 month fan clutch is trashed. Have any of you had this problem? I am

Well I have had the Journey for a week and it totally underwhelmed me The gas milages was horrible and the performance was worse. Since I wrecked the Caliber in March, I have been looking around at newer vehicles, and quite frankly I am not the least bit interested in anything I have seen anywhere. I rented the vehicle from the local 5 star dealer and I sure enough know not to buy any rental ve
