I had to change the wire connectors to match the Leece-Neville. Used the standard Chrysler alternator. You're correct, Leece-Neville is very well made. The other advice I take to heart from my Father-in-law is that OEM beats third party quality hands down.

I've got a Leece-Neville electronic voltage regulator in both my old Dodges (65 D-200, 66 W-300) and the regulators have been nothing but reliable for over 25 years. Find a shop that services over the road trucks, emergency vehicles and/or heavy equipment and they should be able to fix you up. My Father-in-law set me up with mine, as he was in the HB truck electrical trade for over 50 years
