Need a pair of doorlocks or have keys made for mine. Found out today the SMC DL-2 door locks are completely different from my old locks, even though they're supposed to fit 68-74.

"finish one of these and you'll really have something" he says... How do you "finish" an old Dodge, drive it over a cliff?

Cool! We were going to watch it again last night, wifey hasn't seen it, but it's a long movie... maybe tonight. There's more vintage Mopars in that movie than any other I've ever seen. Almost reminded me of the way Hawaii Five O was sponsored by the Ford Motor Co, the cars and other vehicles were all Fords... ;-( Friends don't let friends drive Fords... or was that

the extended version on the disk, the unrated version as opposed to the original theater version, so that version may not had the scene in it with the D100 driving by. you couldn't miss it, it came from the left, and went across the screen. Had the wide white trim just below the body line. Kinda blew me away, hardly EVER see a Sweptline in a movie!

Watched American Gangster last night, pretty amazing movie, Ridley Scott who did Gladiator. Couldn't believe it when a D100 in Seafoam Green went across the screen! Had to play that back a few times ;-) The amount of Mopars to be seen during the movie was amazing, more than i've ever seen in any other movie!!! Anyone have any movie Dodge truck sightings?

Posted it on Seattle CL, didn't see it posted there. Every little bit helps. Hope they find it, and "dispose" of scum who does this...

wow, look at that thing... that's the trouble with making your stuff look too good! It could be anywhere by now, literally (looks like it could go anywhere). My kid lives in Kent, I'll send he a link to this. It should get posted on CL, if it isn't already.

Here it is, that crumbly white wheel that was in the truck was so nasty, I didn't even want to drive it... I think the Black wheel totally compliments the interior anyway, was like a minor sex change for ol' Ralphie ;-) Thx Shawn!!!

Ahhh, the old dreaded conversion... I ran into this gool ol boy one time, with a really neat shorty Power Wagon, that was a conversion, he told me. Done it in one afternoon. Hell, I can barely do a tune up/oil change in one afternoon, but I am slow. When I was a tech, years ago (as in working for someone else), I always told em; I only got two speeds, and if you don't like this o

Very true, you have to have your wits about you doing engine repairs, and helps to have a working knowledge of basic rebuilding procedures. Learning as you go could be learning the hard way... I thought he's mentioned doing an oil pump himself, so some mechanical aptitude. Something that never gets mentioned that i really a weak point on these motors is the factory oil pump drive, I routi

You can always do bearings in an engine by just pulling the pan, did it to my '65 W200 some years back, on account of being loose... Symptoms were; not getting oil pressure very fast on start up, and the usual rumble while waiting for oil pressure, 318 Poly. Put in new rods/mains, 70psi at idle, quiet as a church mouse down below, still running strong almost ten years later although I

Terry, Where's the oil bath air filter you sent me pics of last year? I still need it, two of them actually... but one would be a start.

Actually, I was the one who started that filter rant last summer after we bought "Big Al", '65 D300 318, and I spent a couple months tinkering with it... One day, while moving the whole air filter assembly around, I heard a bit of a clunk, or rattle inside the filter. Grasping the tightening screw underneath to make sure that wasn't it, I shook it again, and it was rattling, l

I wish I could post a video of it starting up, barely turn the key and it's purring like a kitten ;-) Speaking of air filters... for years now I've had this really early aftermarket FRAM air filter unit under the hood of Irene, our basically now just for parts '63 D100, which was made to be a replacement for the original oil bath air filter. A light came on in my head, so I bor

That was someone else's redline. I personally don't take the Wideblocks (;-) over around 37 or 800. I'll take pics of the exhaust when I get back to where the truck is at. It's really a nice job. Won't be long before I'm as finished on the D500 as I need to be, and I can move on the the Power Wagon. I can see myself spending a couple years on that truck! It's so

Been quite a few days now, I finally got the ’66 D500 318 running amazingly well!!! I was amazed to hear it actually running like it should, was really starting to think that it would need a valve job or a complete rebuild before I could ever use the truck. Here’s a few pics I took that night after finally getting it running right, just about dusk, idling about 700rpm, 50psi oil pressure, and

Much better, and cheaper, to leave it alone. Truck looks wonderful the way it is, can we see more pics, of the front, inside cab/dash, engine, etc?

Interesting truck, but looks like a '70, not a '67 like it says in the ad. Hard to believe someone would go through the trouble of basically rebuilding the whole truck, then let it sit because of two motor mounts? Unless they mean the motor mount perches are broken in some way...
