I'm not trying to make me a modern truck, I'm trying to make one that is safe to drive. I want power disk brakes and power steering and am wondering if the crown vic swap is my best bet. Are there better options? Will the crown vic front end fit? Thanks,

I just got me a 68 D100 long bed pickup. I would like a more modern drive train and leave the body rustic. I’ve read about the crown Vic front end swap but want to make sure that works. I’d also like to add a more modern 5 speed manual behind the 318, any recommendations? And is there a rear end with disk brakes that would bolt in or go in with minimum modifications? Thanks
