Not sure if this will help. I had to switch out tanks in my dodges. I put the tank from my 69D 100 into my 70D 200. My tank sizes were different but I was able to make the tank from my 69 work in the 70. The lower bolt holes in the tank flange lined up with the tank mounting holes in the 70 but since the tank from the 69 was smaller the top tank flage bolt holes don't make it to the upper mo

Just wanted to add something from my experience with that little gizmo. At least make sure the butterfly gate on that is stuck open. If you intend on driving your truck before you get it fixed. The gate on my 70 D200 was stuck shut. The guy I bought my truck from didn't realize that and continued to drive the truck, hauling 1200 gallons of water for his cistern. Thanks to you all for the advice. I have a list now of things to check out. Some I have tried already some I hadn't thought about. Maybe in a week or so I can get out and get started.

I've used a timing light in conjunction with a vacuum gauge. The procedure I followed is in the manual that came with the Mopar Performance Electronic Ignition Kit There is the basic timing for total mechanical spark advance. With the vacuum line disconnected and plugged and engine fully warmed up make 2-3 full throttle runs listening for any detonation. Once set, reconnect the vacuum line m

I have recently had the 383 in my 70 D200 rebuilt. Almost everything under the hood is new or aftermarket new, with a few items remanufactured parts. I'm having a consistant problem that I just can't seem to solve. When the engine is cold and as I take off (usually happens when the trans shifts from 2nd to 3rd) If I give it just a little to much gas I'll get a backfire in the carb.
