I think most Utes were used pretty hard and were crushed a long time ago. They tended to be the cheap basic truck, so they were not cared for. When your scanning Norm's pictures you'll see a yellow 64' D100, that was my baby in the early 90's, wish I hadn't sold it.

It's better to keep those walls firm. I think it's worth finding another block if you have to go over .040. I just picked up a complete 1966 440 with standard bore for $300 bucks. Deals are out there.

Love the pictures. That 63' Newport was built that way to keep the price under 3 grand. I have a road test of that very car. The road testers liked it. It was almost as fast as a New Yorker and good mileage too.
