Do you post on sweptline.org or ramchargercentral? They have for sale sections & decent traffic. Craigslist is good for local sales & heavy items that you don't want to hassle with shipping...but you likely wont get top dollar unless other Mopar people live nearby. Bucky

Mine was from 2wd. The 4wd transfer cases were all married to the transmissions from 75-up. I'm not sure what the back of those 4wd transmissions looked like. I know that the NP435 input shaft spline count went from 10 (1968 & older) to 23 (1969 & newer) at least in the light duty Dodge trucks. Medium duty trucks that used a 435 4-speed had a larger diameter shaft. The novak t

If your talking about the 4 bolts that hold the output shaft housing on, then mine is the same as your's. Mine is from a 76 D200. I have no idea what the other NP435 came in, unless it's the ones used in the medium duty 500 series trucks. Bucky

Front axle not engaging? Do you mean the driveshaft itself or the axle selectable locking hubs? Bucky

Scott has stuff outside of the site that takes a good chunk of his time. Among other things is raising a family. I see some of his postings on facebook of his kids activities. I just do not see how a parent raises a kid or kids in 2013, while working a full time job. There is just too much busyness in this day & age. Kids travel clear across the state for games, cheerleading, gymnastics, etc.

Wouldnt a disc brake Dana 44 or 60 from a later (80-84) W200 be almost bolt-in? Those years still had selectable locking hubs, similar to Swepty W200's FYI my 1975 W600 has a frame mounted vacuum booster very much like my 1966 W500, so they didnt disappear entirely in the 60's. Bucky

If someone doesnt use a proper puller to remove the balancer, or worse yets hammers on it, that might cause a problem. I have heard of, but not personally seen, the outer section of a balancer slipping around the inner, causing the timing mark to be off. But as PWD stated, your vibration is likely elsewhere. If it occurs at a cetain vehicle speed, then its definately in the drivetrain . If it

Unless you have selectable locking hubs or CAD axle, the front driveshaft will always turn, because its connected to the front wheels. The wheels are turning it, not the t-case. I admit I haven't read this whole thread (lately), therefore I don't know which t-case or axles you have.

Do you have a vacuum gauge? If so check vacuum at various ports on the carb. Manifold vacuum (bottom of carb) should be a steady reading, hopefully 16 or higher. What type of carb?

John, I am about 80 miles from Denton. I'm not sure what my schedule will be like those days. I take it you are flying & won't be carrying any parts back to NY? I got stuff to get rid of. LOL Bucky

No sense in going to the expense of replacing a whole engine if only the carb is shot..... Now if your current engine is leaking, smoking, knocking or has poor compression then a swap may be more feasible.

I used too live in Alachua, Florida very near where Ben is located and often made treks to the Kennedy Space Center. Its a very impressive place, lotsa good ol American 1950's & 60's history happened there (still active too). I'd recommend it to anyone going to Fl for vacation. Ben's CSS is first rate show truck from what I can tell on the forums... and its driven not t

Yes I understand the rule of thumb and how shorter hauls would be higher, same as city MPG on a vehicle are lower than HWY MPG. I am working with a forum member from Joe & Gordon's site who is a Colorado resident & has the equipment to get the job done. I have put a pencil to DIY & since I don't have the means to DIY I don't mind hiring the services out. Thanks

Is that $2.00 loaded mile? Sorta always heard that was the bare minimum. I have been communicating with "Jim Hauls" over on Joe's site. But I may be too heavy for him, plus he has to have a couple months to schedule it & prefers not to pick-up at where the truck is located. Matt over on Gordon's site has a gooseneck & has hauled W500's before. He lives in Co

I am working with a professional transporter to get a 1975 W600 hauled. It has 157"wb, 318/435/223, rockwell sideloaders, flatbed & plow set-up (no blade though). What do your W500/600's weigh? How wide/tall/long, etc. My 66 W500 (175") is ~93" wide at tires. Weight unknown. I am long ways from the W600, so is the seller. Any input is appreciated. Bucky

I have a twin to this W500, only mine is 66 & winch is done gone. I like that "all business" front bumper. Bucky

That 413 is the industrial version. It has a gear drive & the camshaft/distributor I think rotate the opposite direction from a "normal" B/RB motor. Has unique oil pump too, so I've heard. It may be a more rugged motor, but I doubt it will have any more torque/power. Compression isn't that high. Oil pans should change from block to block.
