Gee, thanks Trey, not quite what I was looking for! I've seen some pretty terrible vinyl covers on the internet too. I'd prefer something along the lines of Norms bench for the parts pile. He doesn't seem to need it!!

Wow, that looks nice! I got quoted 650 and 450 from the two places I called. I thought it was closer to what you paid from posts I've seen in the past. Guess I'll have to hunt around a bit!

Hey all, Finally started working on my W300, and looking to have the seat redone. Whats a reasonable price to have the seat foam replaced and re-covered with basic black vinyl? Anyone have recommendations for a good upholstery shop around Portland, OR? Thanks! W300

My 1970 W300 was a chassis cab, and does not have those tabs at the front. Of course it was a firetruck, so it has a lot more holes drilled in the frame than it should... There are a bunch of holes in that area, so they may have just left the brackets off...

Rustoleum huh? The wife is after me to get my truck painted, or get it out of the garage! I'm looking to go the rustoleum route. Can you give me some pointers? They look pretty good from 20 feet, which is all I'm looking for!! (Hell, if it looks good a block away I'd be happy

Those have got to be 9.00 16s, or bigger! I love the look of big tires on duallie trucks, but was always under the impression that the sidewalls on the tires should not touch. What are thoughts on the sidewalls touching on duals? I see duallie trucks on the road occasionally with big meats that have the sidewalls touching between the inbound and outbound tires.

Shouldn't your plate hang off to the right side, illuminated by your taillight? Like on a WM?

My W300 has planetary (?) hubs. No need to get out and lock em in, but I'm sure its got more drag on the front end.

Where can I get some of the little nuts that hold the emblems onto our trucks? Is there a suitable replacement? Finally got all the emblems for my truck (still truck of the week going on two weeks now, thanks Norm ) and would like to get them on!!

Cool! Thanks for posting my truck as truck of the week! It still needs some holes patched from all the hero stuff, then it'll finally get some paint. Unfortunately my 2 and 4 year old get most of the attention nowadays so it'll be a while! Eric

It seems that the avatars only show if you view one message per page, witha list of replies under, not all messages displayed. I like the all messages displayed, because you can read through a thread quickly, but no Avatars!

Hey all, I am missing 1 bracket for the side steps on my ute bed. Its the flat L shaped plate that bolts to the cross-sill (sp?) and the bracket that holds the step. Anybody got one of these? I'm in Portland OR

Many thanks to Norm and Phil for setting up the new forum, I like it!! It also makes it WAY easier to post pics, since we don't need a separate picture hosting site and some general html coding knowledge to post a pic. So let's see those trucks!! Here's my 1970 W300 with a factory 383, NP435, Winch, 9 foot bed, 14K original miles. Pictured here with a light dusting of sno

If you have windows, when you double click a picture the windows picture manager will open the file. Click edit at the top, then click resize in the toolbar on the right. I'm not sure if this will get it down to avatar size, but you should be able to get it small enough to post. I just shrunk this one down to 448 X 336 (Web Page default)
