Ok.....drove pretty well so I suspect the previous owner had it aligned after a bending episode.....maybe it was stuck and somebody tied a chain around the front axle inadvertently grabbing the tie rod also. It's bent towards the axle so that's probably a likely story. I'll heat it up and straighten it out, thanks!

In the middle of a Scarebird disc brake conversion and see that my tie rod has a slight bend. Is this normal or fubar? If it's bad, anybody know where I can buy a new tie rod assembly? Thanks!

A new bed bottom is 460 and that's peanuts..........the shipping will be what ever it is as I live in Alaska and it's just one of the many hazards we have to deal with up here. Whatever you guys pay for shipping I can just triple that and it's about what I'm going to have to pay! It's all good because we all choose where we want to live and we all get to suffer the cons

Looking good! Imron is a good paint, used to paint aircraft with it and it always held up well against rock chips and debris. It should do well as a fram paint for your truck. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your project with us!

Luckily my cab is in good shape and won't need much, the bed however, is a different story. Too many years of spruce needles pilled up under the tool box has caused holes big enough to stick your head through! I'm just glad to find someone that is making bed parts, even if he is all the way accross the country from me.

I'm going to buy a bed bottom from him as he seems to be the only shop making them. Check it out. www.exlinecustomauto.com
