Thanks for all the great ideas. I did in fact get the damn thing off. It involved using a 48 inch farm jack and a chain and welded hooks on an old rim. Truly a work of art or maybe a mad mans wild nightmare -but it did come off and with a BANG. I used copious amounts of never seize on the axle when putting it back together, like that will make a difference. I did get the brakes working again

That was my first inclination and I ran the adjuster tight till the hub would not turn then backed it the other way. The truck has been sitting for some time but is in running shape except for the brakes. Thanks for the input.

You got the picture. Tonight I tried heating the hub till it was smoking. Had an old rim and tire on and started to beat on the rim going around and around. It will not move. Thinking I may have to remove the the whole rearend and take it somewhere and get it pressed off. Running out of options and patience.

In the process of replacing wheel cylinders on my 64 d100 uti. 3 were no problem but the last(of course) is giving me fits. Left rear will not budge one mm. I've backed the brakes off, Used a puller with air. Heated it,sprayed rust buster, solvents, cussed at it. Nothing wants to work!! What's my next move?? thanks for any ideas
