Sure am glad you mentioned the plastic tube. I'd completely forgotten about it! Yes, the Helitool kit on the W300 came with one. I'll have to do some looking around and see what I can come up that will work on the W200. Thanks Michael Z. Dahlonega, GA 1964 W300 1967 W200CC 1965 Barracuda

Correct. My truck uses this bracket to mount the manual, dual circuit, two bolt master cylinder to the firewall. As for the stand off bracket, I've got some ideas and basic measurements and should be able to build something that will work. There's some good information and photos coming out of this thread! Thanks Everyone, Michael Z. Dahlonega, GA 1964 W300 1967 W200CC

Terry and Robin, Thanks for the help. After Terry's response yesterday, I went back to my local parts pusher and talked with a fella that has a little more knowledge in tracking down parts. He did some cross referencing and made a phone call or two and thinks he has the right booster ordered. It does not include the standoff bracket. I'll just have to fabricate something that will

My truck currently has manual brakes only, with the dual circuit master bolted directly to the firewall. So, unfortunately I have no idea what a correct, factory booster assembly would look like. Maybe I need to go back to square one with my question. What is required to add a firewall mounted brake booster to a 1967 truck that is currently a manual, dual circuit system? Will the or

Under most circumstances I would say yes. I’m a stickler about keeping things as close to stock as possible, unless maintenance/repair parts are rare or unavailable. This is especially true on a vehicle I drive and depend on. In this case, I might actually be better off using non-stock parts. The truck has been mildly modified by previous owners, so it’s not an unmolested example. A replacem

JimmieD and John, Thanks for the advice. After reading through your responses, I did some reading and research on basic brake part applications and studied clearance issues on the truck. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m giving up working on trucks and taking up stamp collecting. Yea, right, like I haven’t said that before! Actually, it looks like it should be a fairly straight forward

The brake master cylinder on my 67 W200cc has started dripping fluid down the interior side of the firewall. Sounds like a great time for an upgrade! I contacted Ray of Helitool/Ugly Truckling this week and he is no longer producing his power booster kit for these trucks. Is there a power brake booster and master cylinder that can be easily adapted (maybe from a later generation W200)? I pla

Thanks for the response and info. I decided that I should quit thinking about it and make a deal for the truck. It looks like shipping is going to work out through a uship broker. If not, I'll just hitch hike out there and drive it back! Thanks! Michael Z. Dahlonega, GA 1964 W300 1967 W200CC

Good Evening Everyone, Does anyone have advice/recommendations for a shipping company or individual that you have used or know of? I'm pondering the purchase of a running, driving Sweptline W200 crew cab with short bed and need to get an idea of what shipping costs will be like. The truck is located in the central Mid-west and I'm located in northern Georgia, about 1100 miles one way

Terry & Russ, Thanks for the advice. I followed y'alls suggestions, ran a few basic tests, hooked the battery up, ran a few more tests, everything checked out O'K. Buttoned it all up, pulled the choke, pumped the gas a time or two, turned the key and she was running after just a few turns. A few small bugs to work out here and there, but it appears all systems are functioning as

Well, I was so excited that I figured out how to resize and post pictures, that I forgot to add any stats on the W300, (I need to get out more). It's a 1964, original slant six truck with a transplanted 1965 318 poly, np435 4spd trans, Helitool 4 wheel power disk brake conversion, and updated wiring and gauges. In this photo, it's carrying a full cord of seasoned oak firewood. Smooth

Group photo. I really like the Power Wagons, both flat fender and Sweptlines. I've also got a soft spot for the early GMC's and have been working on this one since around 1999: 1952 3/4 ton. Oh, heck, if it can be classified as a truck, chances are I like it. As my wife would say, "Hopeless!" Michael Z. 1964 W300 N. Georgia

Good Morning Everyone, After my W300 fried the amp meter last October, I decided to rewire the truck from front to back. I went with an after market, universal 12 circuit harness and after market gauges, including a voltmeter, (truck had the HD round gauges). I’ve been working on it in my “spare” time through the winter and have just about finished it, just a few more wires to cover with
