Thanks for the info. I suspect I have the correct 69 hood release then because the 70-71 Grille that's in there now has plastic inserts in the rectangular openings that don't allow for your hand to reach through to where the release lever is. I'll be needing a better hood too so maybe I can find a donor truck that has the right 69 grille and parking lights as well.

Need a grille for my 69 D100 stepside and looking at pictures online only confuses me. My truck has likely been hit in the front and reparied at some point in it's life since the fenders show the remains of red paint under the blue. My truck is originally blue.
