Thanks for the input. I looked up the specs on the motor and it is about the same as the 1980 318 I was thinking about swapping. I do not plan on doing any towing but will be using it for highway driving and some mountain roads. I may end up swapping 3:55 gears at some point. I may keep the 15's on it as well.

Hello there everyone! I am posting again in regards to my slant 6 in my 66 Dodge D-100. In everyone opinion how well does a factory slant 6 get you down the road? Mine is the 225ci and it is stock except I have a petronix electric ignition kit and coil for it and a new exhaust as well as a good tune up. I do not have the truck on the road yet but I plan on running 245/75/16 tires. I am not lookin

I am using the 66 D-100 frame and the 77 has a automatic. The transfer case is a np-205 as well. Thanks for the welcome!

Hello there! I have a 66 D100 that I am converting to a 4wd. The parts truck I am using is a 77 3/4 ton W200. My main questions are how well does the steering match up, as in can I use the drag link and pitman arm from the 77as a direct swap? Also the truck has the np 435 4-speed. Question there is do I need to swap just the output shaft to mount the transfer case or swap the whole tail-housing?
