.......I pulled the motor and trans out of the 70 and came to realize that the front straight axle in that truck IS the sway bar style with the dogbone arms on it also......I guess I never looked at it close enough to see that until yesterday.....sold the /6 for 100.00 to a local kid...................BNC

......The other 8 lug front I have is out of a 70 or 71 sweptline standard cab D200 that I bought the fenders off of and other misc parts....this is the dogbone sway bar front I have.......THEN I also have the 8 lug front and rear axle(full floater) that is under the 70 standard cab UTE 2WD that I am parting out currently....no PS or sway bar style axle just a basic 8 lug front but I do have both

......This front axle is the exact same as what would be in a D300-700 2 wheel drive truck or Dodge motorhome....8 lug disc brake front with brand new $65.00 brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, lug nuts and U bolts to attatch to springs.......figured I'd offer it here before ebay or cut it up for scrap metal......make an offer I cant refuse.......BNC

........Lotta times the driver does not use the shifter correctly and the spiral shifting shaft inside the housing will strip the threads and not work properly.....sorta like grinding granny every time then someday no more granny cause all the teeth are in the bottom of the pan,,, OR granny will pop out of gear from a dead start.............My granny smoked herself to death!!!!!!...........BNC

......Pretty sure that it would Terry.....The trans has other bolt holes in the bell end to fit other configurations of motors I think....once you get the 6 out you can take a piece of cardboard and push a screwdriver thru the mount holes of the poly and see if it all mates up......what am I explaining all this to you for you already know all this!!!!! ........................BNC

I do know that they do fit other motors as the bolt pattern on the bell of the case has additional hole
