My 65 just has the heater hose coming out of the firewall holes, not metal tube extensions of the heater core. There is no rubber grommits around these holes. Im haveing trouble finding grommits that are thin enough to let the hose come through, the hole is pretty tight. Any suggestions on a source

Good news!
I looked at my parts truck ( a 66 3/4 ton, stepside, slant six, 4 speed) and it still has the heater core with the tube extensions and grommits! Why didnt I think to check it out sooner, I dont know. The grommits still feel soft, not brittle. Im going to pull them out today and see if all is salvageable.
