Good day all... I'm having a hard time with my windshield wipers on my '68. Seems that not only are the springs weak on the arms, but I also can't find blades to fit on the dinky little (very narrow) tabs that hold the originals on. I'm confident you all will know what I'm

found a post i made about 4 years ago...lol

part numbers should be the same.

""Carquest auto parts had some 12" classic (stainless) blades P/N 353-122 but they wouldn't work with my arms. So I bought the Carquest arms (stainless) P/N 551-151 and everything bolted up. The new arms come with new splined drums that go on the wiper pivots.

Here's the rub, I'm into it about $70, but now I can get new blades anytime I want.""

mine only cost me around $45, so im guessing prices vary by area. the guy who first posted this is up in washington somewhere. they took about 45 minutes to get on and adjusted. once they are on, a little tweaking to the arm to make proper contact with the windshield was required. the arm length, and wiper head are all adjustable for position as well. made getting them on and lined up with the right swing real nice.""
