Not quite a sweptline, but figured you guys might have some ideas for me. Looking at a '74 D800 361/5spd/2spd rear. Seller says the rear end pops out of gear when there is no load applied to it (Like coming up to stop signs, etc.) Everything works fine otherwise. Any ideas on what would cause

I talked with Jim F today and he thought that the switch might be failing. he says the solenoid keeps it engaged one way or the other and that switch has to be sending the energy all the time to make that happen or it wont stay engaged without a load. he said if switch tests good then possibley solenoid prob. Or possibly a brokenn detente.
