I've been looking at 68 D500, which needs all new 20" rubber and the brakes gone through. Question one is, are there any wheels that will fit to get rid of the split rims? Question two is, are shoes and wheel cylinders available for these? The truck has remote vacuum booster in the frame.

You should have no problem getting brake parts for your truck. Go to a mediumn to heavy duty truck supplier and check them out. The brand catolauge I got my parts from for my D500 as called EUCLID if I remember.
