After looking through my parts manual, it appears the NOS one I found is an early one too.
The parts manuals list 1783232 R and 1783233 L for the early, 2504664 R and 2504665 L for the late up to 1969.
70 and 71 are different due to marker lights only.
Guess I'll have to keep looking..........
