Want to put a 383 in my 66 i have a complete 6 with bellhousing and transmission i also have a complete 318 poly with bellhousing and tranny.There both 4 speeds.I have the hydraulic bellhousings.The six has about 55000 on it runs good the poly has 65000 but was in a D500 I have located a bellhousin

The flywheel from your 318 will work as long as it's a 72 tooth.
Most the V8's use a 6 bolt crank, so it should work as long as there both 6-bolt cranks.

You might want to check to make sure you're not missing
some teeth....
The parts manual shows different part
numbers for the 318 & 383 flywheels. There is a "Premium"
318 flywheel that accepts a 13" clutch with its own part
number but one would have to verify that it could be used
in the big block hydraulic clutch bell housing. I haven't
heard of anyone [yet] who's used a SB flywheel in that BB
bell housing.
