Yes, the Townies became a part of my life. Bought mine in Mobile, Alabama for $100 back in 1977, driving it ever since. I've put over 1,000,000 miles on it now. Sorta gotten to know them a bit.
If at all possible I suggest you do buy it for your business. I've owned some very cool vehicles over the years, some real head turners as many of us here have. Compared to the Town Wagon they might as well have been '62 Falcon 4 doors for the comparative amount of attention they got. I still can't get used to the amount of attention it gets. Everybody from little kids to grandmas to all sorts of guys stop to make comments or chat almost every time I go into town! On average, 2-3 people per trip within 3-4 hours or so in town and it's a VERY small town where folks should be used to seeing me!
I was driving a highway out in the middle of nowhere by Mono Lake in California when a CHP came by in the opposite direction, in one of their SUV's. He was grinning like heck and threw me a thumbs up, shaking his hand for emphasis! Amazing...
I doubt you could find any vehicle that would get more attention for your business except for a Wagon model.
That door panel offer is open to anyone, by the way. Even Terry
