Hi, After three carb kits I am still having a problem with the accelerator pump rod not returning on its own. It seems like once the leather seal swells the spring does not have enough force to move it. Even when I move it by hand it is very tight. The bore seems clean and smooth. Does the diameter

Hi,
After three carb kits I am still having a problem with the accelerator pump rod not returning on its own. It seems like once the leather seal swells the spring does not have enough force to move it. Even when I move it by hand it is very tight. The bore seems clean and smooth. Does the diameter of the accelerator pump seal need to be sanded down some? Or, am I still missing something.
