It seems as though the A, B & E body MoPar supply is
pretty much tapped out. The next "logical" cars are the
C body luxury yachts. Also, as many of us are noticing, the
Sweptlines are starting to fall on people's radar screen.
I have a long time [43yr] friend who's a lifetime MoPar
fanatic. He does restorations [currently working on a '69
Charger Daytona], he's drag raced for 25 years, owns a few
B & E bodies.... the whole nine yards. He restored the '67
Coronet R/T that I've owned for many years. When I started
to "get in deep" with the Sweptlines, he and many of my other
pals thought I'd flipped my lid.
As the years have gone
by..... and he's "learned" that Sweptlines were outfitted
with 383s, 413s and 426 Street Wedges, sporting bucket seats
and center consoles, etc.... even he has begun to mention
them more often in conversation. Its funny to be able to
"school" a guy like this who is very very knowledgeable.
It makes me feel like a big deal somehow...
He's gone
so far as to say that he'd like to someday do a restoration on
a Sweptline. Getting away from the headaches of a uni-body
project seemed refreshing to him. I told him that whenever he's
ready to tackle one.... I'll be more than happy to park one of
mine in his shop.

Here's the Daytona he's working on now.... I saw it a couple
weeks ago and it's a beauty!
