That NP203 transfer case is a pretty good unit, John, if you can get it to match up. I ran them for well over 200,000 miles behind 400/440's, no problems. Just that it's chain drive and full time, not gear drive and part time. Chain drive or not, it can take some reasonable abuse, from a big block too.

I used one in snow country and it was nice not having to get out in 2-3 feet of snow to lock in the hubs! Same with mud. Slight penalty in gas mileage.
