I noticed that too about the 71 tailgate but then I thought perhaps some 70's might have the non embossed tailgate. The owner went out of his way to disclose the replacement front bumper and did not mention the tailgate. It might have been replaced early on with whatever was on hand at the bodyshop? The rust certainly matches the rest of the truck... no offense!

I would think cab mounts are a pretty big deal to replace.
Sure looks cool though and nicely optioned! We westerners are spoiled with rust free rigs.
