Will the VIN numbers on these old sweptline trucks identify the transmission type? specifically; 3 spd from a 4spd? I assume they will but not sure. I do not have one to check but considering modifying one to the stock setup I want. Thanks..........Alan AC - The Searcher.

Not part of the VIN, but included separately on the vin plate.
