Does anyone know the weight of an 8 lug, full floater Dana 60 with drum brakes? I am thinking about changing out this rear-end for a lighter weight unit with disc brakes.

If you are talking about a 60 rear axle,I would venture to guess @ 400 lbs,maybe as little as 350 with an open carrier and 2x12 brakes.
I once bought a dana 70 rear from Gordo that he loaded by himself BY HAND ! With one dually wheel and tire on each side!
