Here's my 1969 Project: The truck started out as a 69 D100 longbed, 383, A727, factory AC, Custom. Rust free from CA. I bought this truck in 2001 while I was looking for big block mounts for my 68 W200 and ended up buying the whole truck with a 71 SE big block truck for parts, Ha and the story begins, being from MA, finding a solid rust free truck in New England is pretty rare, so I just couldn't pass on the deal.
Now, it has been converted to a short bed stepside with a 92 D150 IFS front clip, 413/A727. Other modifications include: 92 Chrysler LeBaron seats and instrumentation, 85 AD 100 tilt column with a 71 Challenger wheel and 77 truck Power booster. Future work will include: Dana 60 rear, with HPP style traction bars, CPPA big tube headers, 3" exhaust, low gear set, in chassis fuel tank to name just a few.
My new project is the return of my old 68 W200 which I just got back last fall.
Plans are to replace all the bad sheetmetal and paint, freshen up the driveline, brakes, wiring, wheels, tires, etc and just drive it for now, but later on I'd like to put a BB in it.
