I vote for board style default with threaded option. 
This way we can keep some of us old farts happy and not alienate newbies. Newer users will appreciate a board style (clean/tidy) and not be overwhelmed with so many threads with their sub-thread responses visible. Currently it appears to be a hybrid of sorts. BoardThread. The responses still are visible though taking up screen space.
