Thanks a lot Fellows for this information and suggestions. For my 80th birthday I purchased my 51st swptline with the idea it would be my last and a driver. I have all harness for the Ford power steering conversion and I attempted to put it on to the 1968 D300 but then I realize the frame was a little bit narrower than the D100 and D200. That is when I started thinking front clip. I later on purchased a 1979 dodge Motorhome with low miles, 440 with power steering, power front disc brakes, automatic trans, air conditioning, and power front brakes,. I tested out the suspension and driving qualities before I tore down the motor home part as it was very rotten ceiling. The frame is approximately 10 inches wider and it's a box frame unlike the sweptlime. I think I'm gonna have to bring it towards the back of the cab before I make my first cut. I want to use the D300 rear frame and Dana 70 mostly due to the narrow axle appearance. I mean after all how can it be a hot rod if the dually tires stick out in the rear 6 inches on each side! Plus for appearance sake I shall try to have 6 lug both front and rear.
I probably will not start this project till june 2018 due to weather as I work outside. GORDO
P.S. , i FORGOT,... I JUST PURCHASED A 1966 DUALLY SWEPTLINE
