I started my 70 D300 with a 383 today for the first time in almost two months. It started but showed no pressure on the oil gauge --I quickly shut it off. I then pulled the wire from the sending unit and made sure it was not in contact with any metal,ie grounded. I then checked the gauge with key on. That should have begged the needle to the high side of the gauge, correct? So what's next for me, If this gauge is toast, can they be rebuilt, or ??? Thanks R ps It had plenty of oil --almost touching the full mark.
