Hey All, I'm somewhat new here. Been a lurker for awhile. Have owned my '68 D100 for about a year, I use it as a daily driver. I'm a big Mopar guy, have a few forward look cars. So not new to the world of Mopar but new to these trucks. Anyway, been considering converting it to 4x4. W

Hey All,

I'm somewhat new here. Been a lurker for awhile. Have owned my '68 D100 for about a year, I use it as a daily driver. I'm a big Mopar guy, have a few forward look cars. So not new to the world of Mopar but new to these trucks.

Anyway, been considering converting it to 4x4. Wanted to keep it just like the stock W100's more or less. Keep leaf's up front and swap the A-745 for a NP-435 (w/np203 transfer case?). It seems straight-forward, use an after market Dana 44 up front and get a reman'd np435. But I'm not having great luck finding what I think I need and my Mopar parts-unavailability sense is tingling. I'm assuming some of you more hard core guys have done these swaps. Is this even worth trying? NO! Should have I just bought a W100 in the first place? YES! Do I need a 4x4 parts truck? YES, ABSOLUTELY! Can I do this for not all the money? HELL NO! Is their any aftermarket support for any of this? NONE! Let me know. Feel free to PM me, if you want to go into detail. Thanks
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
