So many words!!!
Yup, SOP for JD.
Since he wants to suggest searching back posts, if anyone cares to, please link an exchange between him and I, where I immediately resort to calling him names in my first post.
Any objective analysis will show that he cannot take disagreement with his post without a massive insulting and disparaging response. I never call him an "idiot", yet he just stated that is how he takes it. I guess its like they say, if the shoe fits....
In this most recent diatribe, JD finally admits that he was "wrong" about it being a D3. If he would just be sure of his "facts" before posting, then verifying the veracity before defending his error when questioned, it would save a ton of bandwidth on this forum.
Bottom line here: JD was WRONG, again, and the billy goat brained, drool dribbling cretin was RIGHT, again!
a note about checking facts - I was under the impression that the electronic voltage regulator first appeared in 69. When u posted that it started in 70, rather than disagreeing, I just went out back and looked under the hood of my 69 D400. Saw it had the old style reg, so apparently u were correct. If JD would check his facts first, it would save a lot of hassle here. If u look down the forum message list, u will see JD has an answer or comment for almost everything. Its maybe only 50/50 that it will be 100% factually correct. That's how it starts....
